Sei & Yah in Liberia: A Legacy Impact Project Update

“Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified.  .  .for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”  Deuteronomy 31:6

Legacy Impact Project Becomes the Hallmark for CLTI in 2017

In December, we shared a strong and courageous set of goals with you–our partners– for  2017.  We are excited to report that the first contribution of $5000 to the Legacy Impact Project has been received!

CLTI has the goal to purchase land and build a premier college preparatory high school in the city of Ganta, tutor young people in preparation for higher education, disciple future leaders of Liberia, and support women in entrepreneurial businesses.  The goals are bold, and God promises to walk by our side as we bring kingdom-focused ministries to Ganta.

One of our recent Legacy Impact Project donors, a nurse who is near retirement, wrote us the following note:

“I will be retiring in 2017.  Therefore, I wanted to make a donation now, before there is less income coming in.  We have no idea what 2017 will bring in the USA as well as in the world.  Please use as needed–maybe for land?”

With the initial contributions toward the Legacy Impact Project from partners like you, we can say that we are on our way!  We are trusting in the Lord that contributions, both large and small, will continue to pave the way toward rebuilding Liberia after years of war, and the devastation of the Ebola epidemic.

Today, would you consider making a contribution of any amount toward the Legacy Impact Project?

We have the ability to create a legacy for the future generations of young people in Liberia.  Usually, when we think of the word “legacy” we think about those who have gone before us, and who have left something for us either in terms of wisdom, traditions, or opportunities.  In this case, we can be the legacy for the young people of Liberia by bringing them the tools they need to begin to create a life that will not only honor God, but that will have a great impact on the future of Liberia.

$45,000 is still needed for the purchase of land in the city of Ganta.  Can you become a Legacy Impact Partner?  All contributions, large and small, will work together to bring the Legacy Impact Project to fruition.  Your contributions can be sent by mail to:

Or, you can click on our “Donate” tab on this website and make a donation online.

Thank you for praying, and for financially supporting our ministry as we train the next generation of Christian leaders for Liberia!

Happy New Year and God Bless you.

On Thursday, January 5, we enjoyed almost 3 hours of meeting and fellowship with several principals of high schools in Ganta.  Our goal was achieved!  We identified 18 teachers to be contracted for our after-school study classes beginning in February and going through May 2017.  We were blessed to have Latopoe and Amelia prepare an excellent meal for us to share!

High school principals from the Ganta area gather with the Buors at the CLTI office for fellowship and discussion

Thanks go to Latopoe and Amelia for preparing a delicious meal for us to share at this gathering.

This month we are welcoming a number of new subscribers our newsletter.  If you have questions or comments about CLTI, its mailings or activities, please send an email to
