POSITION OVERVIEW:
- • Reporting to the Principal, the teacher is responsible to implement and promote the Mission, Core Values, Philosophy and Policies of RCA.
- • The teacher is responsible for developing curriculum and lesson plans, and present those lessons to students, individually or in groups.
- • The teacher creates a safe learning environment in order to optimize student capabilities and develop their love of learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- • Must be a committed Christian who is in full agreement with the Mission, Core Values and Statement of Faith of RCA
- • Professional and personal references must demonstrate observed manifestation of godly character and spiritual maturity.
- • Associate’s degree required from an accredited college or university in educational leadership, school administration, or curriculum/instruction. Master’s degree preferred.
- • Must possess great professional and communication skills.
- • Minimum 1 years teaching experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching Responsibilities
- • Teach your subject(s) to groups of students at RCA.
- • Ensure that all lessons are planned with clear aims and objectives and are delivered in line with the departmental schemes of work and school policies.
- • Consider the differing ability lessons of pupils and differentiate work accordingly.
- • Encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress against targets.
- • Check that all subject matter is effectively communicated and understood by all groups of students.
- • Set appropriate tasks and challenges for homework according to the published timetable and ensure that it is regularly marked with constructive feedback.
- • Work with colleagues to formulate plans which have coherence and relevance to the needs of the individual pupils and to the aims and objectives of Riverview Christian Academy.
- • Ensure that all experiments and activities are safe and contribute directly to the educational objectives.
- • Set appropriate work for classes within your subject area during any periods of absence and make sure that the work is thoroughly reviewed on return.
Classroom Environment and Discipline
- • Ensure that all students are known by name and that the classroom atmosphere is always positive.
- • Encourage and foster intellectual curiosity.
- • Deal with inappropriate behavior quickly and effectively according to the school discipline policy.
- • Monitor student’s participation, demeanor, and attitude in class and ensure that follow-up procedures are put in place when necessary.
- • Keep work areas tidy and organized to promote safety and learning.
- • Establish and maintain high standards of pupil conduct.
- • Act as a positive mentor and role model and to promote the Biblical aims, values, and ethos of the school.
Professional Responsibilities
- • Set an example of servant leadership uses Biblical principles to resolve disputes, speaks to edify and encourage, and demonstrates faithful obedience to God’s laws.
- • Assist in development of curriculum.
- • Attend scheduled meetings in the subject department and school.
- • Attend all role-relevant events including but not limited to; parent-teacher conferences, visitation days, field trips, etc.
- • Have general knowledge of computers and technology, and be familiar with technology resources such as Google Drive, Google email, Microsoft Office, etc.
- • Actively always promote the school’s policies.

POSITION OVERVIEW
- • Reporting to the President/founder, the RCA Principal is responsible to implement and promote the Mission, Core Values, Philosophy, and Policies of the RCA.
- • The Principal is responsible for educational excellence, and provides leadership, management and supervisory skills that promote learning for each student at Riverview Christian Academy.
- • The Principal oversees all higher-level operations at Riverview Christian Academy. He creates a safe learning environment and sets performance goals both for students and teachers and oversees the process so that those goals are attained.
QUALIFICATIONS
- • Must be a committed Christian who is in full agreement with the Mission, Core Values and Statement of Faith of RCA
- • Professional and personal references must demonstrate observed manifestation of godly character and spiritual maturity.
- • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university in educational leadership, school administration, or curriculum/instruction. Master’s degree preferred.
- • Must possess great professional and communication skills.
- • 3-5 years’ experience as a principal or vice principal
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- • Set an example of servant leadership; effectively uses Biblical principles to resolved dispute, speak to edify and encourage, and demonstrates faithful obedience to God’s Word.
- • Communicate with the founder/President regarding academic, curricular, behavioral and personnel issues.
- • Continue your own professional development under the supervision of the founder/President.
- • Serve as a steward for learning – student learning, staff learning, and parent learning.
- • Provides clear vision, inspiration, energy, and insight for all stakeholders in an enlightening and high functioning school community.
Classroom Education
- • Initiate, implement, and oversee the day-to-day programs and activities of the education departments.
- • Research and implement best practices in 21st century education using interdisciplinary teaching strategies while operating under the Liberian government oversight.
- • Work closely with the founder/president and director of curriculum and instruction to ensure continuity of curriculum and programming.
- • Conduct regular informal and formal evaluation of teaching staff and conduct classroom observations.
- • Coordinate scheduling of various academic events, field trips and sporting events, etc.
Education Staff
- • Ensure that education department employees are familiar with and adhere to school policies in all areas of the school’s operation and live lives reflective of Riverview Christian Academy’s mission.
- • Participate in hiring all teaching staff, training and other employment activities for instructors and support staff members to create a dynamite team.
- • Conduct regular faculty meetings, and ensure all faculty receive ongoing in-service training (cross cultural and pedagogical).
- • Make extracurricular assignments for teaching staff and assistants.
- • Oversee budgeting and determine budget allocations for items such as supplies, materials, staff, and equipment.
Students
- • Monitor student participation, demeanor, and attitude in class and ensure that follow up procedures are put in place where necessary.
- • Establish and maintain high standards of student conduct.
- • Provide academic guidance to students; serve as student advocate, helping student families respond to specific academic, emotional, and developmental challenges.
Information Management
- • To ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to date information on all classes taught.
- • To ensure that grades are updated and posted in a timely manner.
- • To keep careful records of student progress in line with departmental and school policy, communicating and consulting with other administrators, and taking other appropriate actions as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEW
- • Reporting to the Principal, the Director of Student Affairs is responsible to implement and promote the Mission, Core Values, Philosophy, and Policies of the RCA.
- • The Director of Student Affairs is responsible for department leadership, supervision, and administration of student engagement activities and programs for RCA. This includes support and oversight for campus-wide co-curricular events and activities, development and management of a comprehensive leadership program, and facilitation of community engagement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- • Must be a committed Christian who is in full agreement with the Mission, Core Values and Statement of Faith of RCA
- • Professional and personal references must demonstrate observed manifestation of godly character and spiritual maturity.
- • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree preferred.
- • Minimum 3-5 years professional experience required.
- • Must possess great professional and communication skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the planning, organization, promotion, and evaluation of co-curricular student learning opportunities that:
- • Identify and incorporate the interests and needs of RCA’s diverse student body
- • Encourage student personal, social, and intellectual growth and development
- • Promote sense of belonging and commitment to Inclusive Excellence
- • Establish peer mentoring opportunities for RCA students that create a sense of belonging.
- • Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive student leadership program
- • Manage student risk management and student travel, including developing and implementing policies, educating the campus community on processes, securing and retaining appropriate waivers and releases, and organizing trainings with appropriate stakeholders.
- • Serve as the Primary Advisor for Student Government Association, including leadership development of student officers and members, participation at national conferences and bi-weekly meetings, and training facilitation.
- • Provide leadership on student community engagement activities, including but not limited to, semesterly community engagement fairs, volunteer opportunities, and the promotion of community engagement.
- • Develop and disseminate a semesterly campus event calendar on a semester-by-semester basis.
Supervision & Administration
- • Lead the planning committee for Commencement Ceremony, including working with a broad range of campus constituents and administrators.
- • Prepare, administer, and manage operating budgets and expenditures; perform analysis and reporting to support decision making; demonstrate responsible fiscal management.
- • Facilitate the assessment and evaluation processes of all department events, activities, and programs; compile and analyze reports related to student participation and program evaluation; develop organizational work processes which facilitate attainment of established department and program goals and outcomes.
- • Provide support and guidance for department administrative functions, such as room reservations, facilities, space, and IT requests and work orders, contracts, and general paperwork flow.
- • Build and maintain working relationships with faculty/instructors and staff in an effort to create intentional and cross-discipline initiatives.
